​A standalone title

The Division Heartland is a standalone adventure in the game universe of Tom Clancy's The Division. “Heartland features streamlined survival gameplay and a beautiful new world to explore”, said Keith Evans, creative director in Heartland at Ubisoft’s Red Storm Entertainment studio, in a developer intro video.

​Setting

As per Ubisoft, the game is set in Silver Creek, a fictional rural community in Middle America.

​Protagonist

You play as a trained Division agent in the game.

​Your role

As a Division agent, you have to “answer the distress call to uncover the ever-evolving mysteries of a rural community in mid-crisis”, as per Ubisoft. Your role and those of other friendly agents is to “save the forgotten heartland of America” which is Silver Creek, from “ enemy factions. rogue agents and a deadly contamination.”

​Fight alongside and against other trained agents

As part of your mission, you’ll have to explore the hostile territory of Silver Creek. There will be other trained agents in the field, both friend and foe. The game ties in directly to the franchise and will introduce all new characters and storylines, said Evans in the video.

​A 45-player game mode

The Division Heartland will feature a 45-player mode called Storm Operations, as per a report by GameSpot.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland will launch on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Ubisoft plans to launch the game in 2023 but hasn’t announced a release date yet.
